Aston Martin V12 Zagato, which was a limited-production sports car built in collaboration with the Italian design house Zagato.
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato made its debut in 2011 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, where it received positive acclaim for its striking design and performance. The car was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the partnership between Aston Martin and Zagato. The design combined the classic Zagato styling with Aston Martin's V12 Vantage.
Key features of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato include:
Design:
The V12 Zagato featured a handcrafted aluminum and carbon fiber body, showcasing Zagato's iconic double-bubble roof design. The aerodynamic bodywork was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional in enhancing performance.
Performance:
Under the hood, the V12 Zagato housed a 6.0-liter V12 engine from Aston Martin, producing a substantial amount of horsepower. It was paired with a six-speed automated manual transmission, providing a thrilling driving experience.
Limited Production:
Aston Martin initially planned to produce a limited run of only 150 units of the V12 Zagato, making it an exclusive and sought-after model among automotive enthusiasts and collectors. (Up to the present, there are no more than 65 street versions of V12 Zagato built of originally 101 examples planned.)
Racing Success:
In addition to being a road car, the V12 Zagato also participated in endurance racing events. Aston Martin entered two V12 Zagatos in the 2011 24 Hours of Nürburgring, where one of the cars finished fifth in its class.
Zagato Tradition:
The collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato has a long history, dating back to the early 1960s. Over the years, several iconic models, such as the DB4 GT Zagato and the V8 Vantage Zagato, have been the result of this partnership.
Please note that if there was a specific V12 Zagato model released in 2014, I might not have that information, which we will do in the near future.
